Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy at UAB St. Vincent's Chilton in Clanton, AL.

You will perform therapy interventions, educate patients and families, maintain records, and assist with discharge planning from speech therapy services. PRN, Days schedule; state licensure required; compassionate team in a comprehensive health system.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Audiologist according to the Alabama State Board rules.
• Graduate from an accredited program relevant to professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy interventions using standard techniques appropriate to the patient's condition.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services; provide information on support programs.
