Job summary

New London Rehab & Care of Waterford is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis in Waterford, CT. The role involves evaluating and treating residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs within a collaborative rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut SLP license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• New graduates welcome; clinical experience in rehab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and findings.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies for communication and swallowing.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with nursing, rehab staff, and other professionals.

We are hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis at New London Rehab & Care of Waterford. Join a collaborative rehabilitation team providing individualized care to residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and clinical findings
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches as appropriate
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies that support communication and safe swallowing
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate care with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals
