Job summary

Allegria Village in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Pathologist for our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing concerns, under physician direction.

Responsibilities include creating care plans, administering tests, teaching residents and families, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. A state license is required; masters/doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
• State license as a speech pathologist required.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician's direction, provide direct patient/resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screen and evaluate residents and develop appropriate care plans.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative ability.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Complete required forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• Maintain patient records accurately and timely.
• Devise tools and treatments for patients' specific needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring a Per Diem Speech Pathologist in our Skilled Nursing Facility.

Job Responsibilities:

1. 1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
2. 2. Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
3. 3. Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
4. 4. Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
5. 5. Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
6. 6. Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
7. 7. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
8. 8. Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
9. 9. Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
10. 10. Other duties as assigned
