Job summary
Decatur Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team on-site in Decatur, AL. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP with Alabama state licensure and ASHA CCC.
- 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting.
- Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care.
