Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP certification must be obtained within 18 months of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans for communication and safe swallowing.
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and progress expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehab staff, and care managers to support coordinated care.
