Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in Maryland is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (CF). You will complete a 36-week fellowship under licensed supervision, progress toward provisional licensure, and contribute to a comprehensive rehab program across multiple modalities within a supportive team.

You will collaborate with therapists to plan treatments, ensure patient-centered care, and maintain compliance with CMS and licensure requirements while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Licensed, certified or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 36-week Clinical Fellowship for full-time employment under supervision.
• Complete requirements for provisional licensure as applicable to the state and CMS supervision guidelines.
• Communicate fellowship and licensure status to supervisor and Rehab Director in a timely manner.
• Not eligible to supervise students during the Clinical Fellowship.
• Meet productivity standards for the rehab gym, or per Director of Rehab/Clinical Ops Area Director.
• Attend patient care, staffing conferences and related meetings.
• Refer to other disciplines to address patient needs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Adapt program/plan of care to the individual patient.
• Promote a safe environment and remove hazards.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition and repairs.
• Put patient service first and ensure high-quality care.
• Assess patients, interpret findings, and plan treatments with goals and caregivers.
• Coordinate acquisition of adaptive communication devices and training.
• Identify hearing deficits and refer for assessment and rehab.
• Select activities suited to each patient’s capacity and interests.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic activities and monitor progress.
• Reexamine as needed to modify treatment progress.
• Perform other related duties as required.
