Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position in California's school system. You will work under a licensed SLP to support students' communication goals and participate in assessments, screenings, and IEP-related activities.

You'll implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes confidentiality, state guidelines, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SLPA license in California.
• School setting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques for PreK–12 students.
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow IEP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students under supervising SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress.
• Assist with screenings, assessments, and therapy materials preparation.
• Support the SLP in IEP meetings and communication with teachers/parents.
• Participate in school-based team meetings and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies.
