Job summary

Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs is seeking a Slot Repair Technician to maintain and repair slot machines and ensure optimal operation on site in Council Bluffs, IA.

The role requires an associate degree in Electronics or related field and 1–2 years of Slot Repair experience (or equivalent). Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with guests and staff. On-site position with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, or related field and minimum one (1) year of Slot Repair experience required; or minimum two (2) years of progressive Slot Repair experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General understanding of electronics at the circuit board level.
• General understanding of microprocessors.
• Must have strong problem-solving, analytical, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance, and general operating condition of slot machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance.
• Replace parts and circuit boards; may repair some circuit boards with assistance.
• Responsible for machine initial fills.
• Inspect, install, and remove slot machines.
• Troubleshoot system-related problems.
