Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Slot Repair Technician at our Jackpot, NV property. You will maintain and repair slot machines, diagnose electronic/mechanical issues, replace components, and assist in jackpot payouts.

Strong electronics knowledge and the ability to work with guests and team members are essential. Qualifications include an Associate degree related to electronics or programming and 1–2 years of Slot Repair experience, plus excellent written and verbal English communication.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, or related field and 1 year Slot Repair experience.
  • 2 years of progressive Slot Repair experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • General understanding of electronics at the circuit board level.
  • General understanding of microprocessors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintenance, and operating condition of slot machines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic malfunctions with guidance.
  • Replace parts and circuit boards; may repair some boards with assistance.
  • Maintain slot machine meters, logs, and related regulatory forms.
  • Assist in jackpot payouts and verification process.
  • Inspect, install, and remove slot machines.
  • Maintain EZ Pay equipment and ensure security of information.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Adheres to established departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. - Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and general operating condition of slot machines. - Diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance. - Replaces parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards, with assistance. - Utilizes shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts. - Maintains moderate skill levels in mechanical and electronic functions, with possible advanced skills in either. - Responsible for the machine initial fills. - Assists in jackpot payouts and the verification process. - Responsible for the inspection, installation, and removal of slot machines. - Maintains player-tracking system and EZ Pay equipment. - Responsible for troubleshooting system-related problems. - Responsible for completing all regulatory and company operational logs/forms correctly (e.g. slot machine meter logs, parts logs, conversion forms, etc.). - Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, or related field and minimum one (1) year of Slot Repair experience required; or minimum two (2) years of progressive Slot Repair experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - General understanding of electronics at the circuit board level. - General understanding of microprocessors. - Must have strong problem-solving, analytical, customer service, and interpersonal skills. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. - Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests and team members at all levels of the organization. - Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. - Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues. - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Must have advanced computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
