Job summary

Mountaineer Casino in West Virginia is seeking a Slot Attendant to provide excellent customer service on the casino floor. You will service players, pay hand-pay jackpots, and perform minor repairs on slot machines.

You will report to the Slot Shift Manager and Slot Performance Manager. Candidates must be 21+, able to obtain WV licenses, and complete required training to handle Video Lottery terminals.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be polite with a neat appearance.
• Ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must obtain a VLT Floor Attendant License through the WV Lottery.
• Must pass a background investigation and obtain WV Racing License.
• Must complete a two-hour training class for Video Lottery terminals.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for making change for guests on the floor.
• Instructing guests in playing games, & fixing minor paper and coin jams.
• Rendering of hand pays and Jackpots to guests.
• All other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Slot Shift Manager then to the Slot Performance Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
• The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
• You will need to be available to work all shifts.
• The ability to work in a fast –paced environment.
• You must be at least 21 years old.
• You must be able to obtain a VLT Floor Attendant License through the WV Lottery.
• You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
• Must take two-hour training class for all Video Lottery terminals and become knowledgeable about how to play all games offered here.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. The ability to push, pull, reach, kneel, twist, grasp, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
