Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Grantville, PA is seeking a Slot Operations Supervisor to lead a shift, ensure smooth slot floor operations, and drive guest satisfaction. You will work with the Casino Operations Shift Manager to implement strategies, monitor budgets, and uphold compliance while delivering outstanding service.

This role requires 18+, HS diploma, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and slot systems; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain any required clearances.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of slot systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and manages a designated shift in the slot operation.
• Coordinates scheduling with the manager with a focus on guest satisfaction.

• Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the slot’s operation. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
• Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
• May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
• Provides authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
• Works closely with the Casino Operations Shift Manager to implement and oversee overall strategies for customer service, comping, Slot floor layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management in order to maximize profitability
• Shares responsibility of the overall engagement of all team members with the Casino Operations Shift Manager by addressing and managing team member feedback, suggestions, complaints, and grievances.
• Assists in the maintenance and processing of all paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication pertaining to slots operations.
• Shares responsibility for the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift.
• Assists with the overall integrity of daily slot area operations.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
• Serves as the highest-ranking slots employee on duty in the absence of the Casino Operations Shift Manager.
• Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required; or minimum of one-year experience in Slot Operations; or two years customer service management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Slot operating systems.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Must have knowledge of Slot Operations.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, as business needs dictate.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

STARTING SALARY

Starting at $58,000 annually
