You will observe safety rules, calibrate equipment, and report any quality issues to supervision. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent and can perform basic math.

• Assist maintenance in repairs and PM of equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.

Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.Come build a career you believe in.About The Role:Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Slitter Operator-Exit will be responsible for setting up and operating high speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to specified dimensions and specifications.Shift: 1st (5:30a-4:00p);What You'll Do:Observe all safety and LOTO rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.Advanced set up and calibration of all equipment.Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after running materialRecord and report any deficiencies in quality to the supervisor/quality department.Maintain equipment tooling and tools necessary for job completion.Diagnose equipment and quality problems while keeping scrap and delays to a minimumPerform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safeComplete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap materialAssist maintenance in repairs and PM of equipment.Participation in continuous improvement programs.Perform all other duties as assigned by management jobs as assigned.What You'll Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and write English. Ability to maintain production records and logs.Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.Ability to perform math, addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions.Experience with measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometers, and calipersAbility to operate forklift, crane and any other equipment necessary for completion of jobDetail oriented with the ability to work independently.Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this roleLead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policyPhysical AbiitiesMust be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
