Job summary

Toppan Packaging Americas in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Slitter Operator I for the Days shift. You will set up and operate core cutting and roll wrapping equipment, ensure accurate measurements, and perform quality checks according to customer specs.

This role requires basic data entry, reading rulers, and safe handling of materials. A 12-hour continental schedule is offered with a $2,000 retention bonus paid after milestones.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate core cutting and roll wrapping equipment.
• Weigh, label, and wrap finished rolls per job specs.
• Palletize finished rolls and move to the finished goods area.
• Perform quality checks before and after production runs.
• Review customer specifications and ensure compliance.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, 5S, and DTM procedures.

Position: Slitter Operator- DaysLocation: Elk Grove Village, ILShift: C & D Shift | 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM (12-hour continental schedule)Pay Rate: $21.74 /hourRetention Bonus:To reward long-term commitment, this position offers a $2,000 retention bonus, paid as follows:$1,000 after successfully completing 90 days of employment$1,000 after successfully completing 180 days of employmentPlease note: This is a retention bonus and is not paid at the time of hire.Summary DescriptionThe Slitter Operator I is responsible for operating slitting and roll handling equipment to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
