Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Elk Grove Village is seeking a Laminator Operator I to operate laminating equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality, machine cleanliness, and production standards.

You will report to the Department Manager and need at least 1 year of machine operator experience; laminator experience is preferred. The shift runs 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM on a 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next).

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of machine operator experience; laminator experience is preferred.
• Experience measuring and working with chemicals is a plus.
• Ability to read a ruler or tape measure accurately.
• Basic math skills and a strong attendance, safety, and quality record.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminating equipment safely and efficiently to meet quality standards.
• Mix adhesive according to established formulas and verify first-piece conformance.
• Set up and operate lathe machine when needed and interpret job orders.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and SQF-standard surroundings.
• Report quality concerns, accidents, and unsafe acts promptly.
• Manage hazardous waste and handle adhesives/materials during production.
