Position: Laminator Operator I (Nights)Location: Elk Grove VillageShift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next, off every other weekend)Pay Rate: $21.74/hour + $2.00 shift differential (Effective Rate: $23.74/hour)Retention Bonus:To reward long-term commitment, this position offers a $2,000 retention bonus, paid as follows:$1,000 after successfully completing 90 days of employment$1,000 after successfully completing 180 days of employmentPlease note: This is a retention bonus and is not paid at the time of hire.Summary DescriptionThe Laminator Operator I reports directly to the Department Manager and is responsible for operating laminating equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality, machine cleanliness, and production standards.What You’ll Be DoingMix adhesive according to established formulasVerify first-piece conformance to product specificationsSet up and operate lathe machine according to operating procedures when neededInterpret job orders accuratelyMaintain cleanliness of machines, equipment, and surrounding work area to SQF standardsUse satellite containers for hazardous waste handlingGenerate and manage hazardous waste as part of production processesReport quality concerns to manager, supervisor, or group leader for review and correctionReport all accidents immediately to shift managementReport unsafe acts and unsafe conditions immediatelyVerify adhesive calculations for each production runVerify required impression rollers, cut or resurface to specificationsReport food safety violations to managementAdd adhesive, change raw material rolls, and manage substrates during operationOperate machine for break coverage when neededPerform additional duties assigned by leadershipParticipate in performance system activities including audits, near misses, and improvement teamsWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have at least 1 year of machine operator experience (laminator experience preferred but not required)You have experience measuring and working with chemicalsYou can read a ruler or tape measure accuratelyYou have basic math skillsYou are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be dirtyYou have a strong attendance, safety, and quality recordBenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
