Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation MCC in Elkton is seeking a Slitter Operator to assist in transforming master label rolls into specific customer order rolls. You will be instrumental in ensuring that orders are processed correctly and on time while maintaining the quality and efficiency of the production line.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and possesses the ability to check for errors, as well as operates machines effectively. The position offers competitive hourly wages along with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rewind or turret machines preferred.
• Attention to detail to check for misprinting.
• Ability to perform duties as assigned.

The Slitter is responsible for taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping.

• Days, 6am - 6pm, 2-2-3 rotating shift

Responsibilities:

• Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order
• Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts
• Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers
• Checks rolls while running for misprinting; report error to pressman and supervisor
• Cuts out "bad" labels on rolls and splices rolls
• Directs errors to rework area
• Rotates through rework area to rework "bad" rolls
• Clean rewind machine or turret machine as needed
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Operate turret machine
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
