Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation MCC is seeking a Finishing Utility - Slitter Helper Operator in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on maintaining print quality, splicing rolls, and data entry in the operations system.

Compensation includes $18.50/hr plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k)). The position requires manual lifting up to 50 pounds and routine use of Windows-based tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute label counts and conversions.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color vision and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure.
• Handles rolls and palletizes them to avoid damage.
• Must understand basic printing and seam defects.
• Records and enters data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Finishing Utility - Slitter Helper Operator

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.

• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly to avoid damage.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
