Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) is seeking a Finishing Utility - Slitter Helper to join our team in Clarksville, TN. This position supports our premium label production by ensuring print and seam quality and by handling rolls safely.

The role requires basic math, Windows skills, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer a competitive wage and benefits package to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Check print and seam quality continuously.
• Remove defective material and splice roll per specs.
• Use ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing.
• Handle rolls and palletize to avoid damage.
• Record data on paperwork and in the operating system.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for a Finishing Utility - Slitter Helper to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Must be able regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
