Job summary

DRC Industries in Carrollton, KY is seeking a reliable Slitter Operator to operate a paper slitting machine, read English job tickets, and maintain a safe, clean work area.

You will adjust cutting knives, accurately record data, monitor product quality, move materials with a pallet jack or forklift, and perform other duties as assigned on a rotating 7am–7:15pm schedule. Attendance and reliability are essential, with basic mechanical skills helpful from other industries.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math functions including fractions.
• Must be able to accurately use measuring devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance standards.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate a paper slitting machine for the entire shift cutting down master rolls into smaller rolls.
• Review written job specifications from the job ticket in English.
• Adjust cutting knives on machine as needed throughout the run.
• Accurately record required data.

• Move materials using a pallet jack or forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

DRC Industries is a full-service manufacturing and converting operation in a 150,000ft facility in Carrollton, KY. Our customers are steel mills, metal processors, food & beverage manufacturers, contract packaging/fulfillment facilities, furniture manufacturers, automotive suppliers, agricultural industries, and the flooring protection/polishing. To keep up with the needs of our growing business, we are in immediate need of Slitter Operators. If you are reliable, hardworking and possess basic mechanical skills attained from other industries, we would like to speak with you.

Depending on shift openings, work hours are 7am- 715pm or 7pm - 715am on a rotating schedule

(Week 1 - Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat, Week 2 - Sun/Wed/Thurs).
