Job summary

Classic Packaging Company in Pfafftown, NC is seeking a dependable Slitter Operator helper to support the Slitter machine and maintain safe, efficient production. You will assist with safety checks, monitor quality, keep records, and help with material handling while following GMP and company policies.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm with second-shift differential. The position offers full-time hours with hourly pay between $16.00 and $18.00, plus benefits and a shift premium.

Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. Assists the Slitter Machine operator in the operation of the Slitter.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
• Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.

• You Help maintain production levels and quality.
• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify correct materials are being used for each job.
• Check quality of rolls as they finish on the slitter and palletize.
• Keep Slitter area clean and orderly.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Safely operate a variety of material moving equipment like pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

• The ability to read and comprehend production orders.

• The ability to stand for an entire work shift (excluding breaks).
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
