Mancan Staffing is currently seeking experienced Slitter Line Operators for a growing company in Strongsville, OH. This full-time temp-to-hire position offers a pay rate of $18.50 per hour, 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and requires reliable transportation to and from work.

The role focuses on safely operating slitting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Slitter Operator experience required.
• Experience operating a press machine.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to pass a measurement test.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Good problem-solving and written/verbal communication.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup - Configure and set up the slitting machine according to job specifications.
• Adjust blades, guides, and other machine components to achieve the required cut widths.
• Material Loading - Load raw materials, such as coils or rolls, onto the slitter for processing.
• Ensure materials are properly aligned and tensioned to prevent issues during production.
• Production Operation - Operate the slitter to cut materials into specified widths and lengths.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and meet production goals.
• Identify and address production issues as they arise.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
