UNC Health in Hendersonville is looking for a Sleep Technologist Trainee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders while under the supervision of a registered polysomnographer. The role includes performing polysomnographic data acquisition, documenting observations, and ensuring the quality of signals.
To qualify, candidates must be enrolled in or have completed an accredited program leading to an associate degree in sleep technology. This position supports patient education and direct care in a dynamic environment.
A sleep technologist trainee works under the direct supervision of a registered polysomnographer to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in the sleep testing center, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patientcare and direct patient education. A sleep technologist trainee is able to perform the duties of a sleep technologist so long as a RPSGT is present. The sleep technologist trainee is enrolled in an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis on sleep technology and has graduated and is awaiting registry.
