Job summary

Penn State Health Sleep Disorder Center in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) to perform polysomnography testing and related procedures during night shifts. This role supports patient care through scoring, titration and therapeutic interventions, under supervision, with a 0.90 FTE schedule.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, educating them, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with standards. BRPT RPSGT certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 18 months of experience as a Sleep Technician required.
  • BRPT certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform polysomnography (PSG) testing, analysis, scoring and therapeutic interventions under the Medical Director.</br>Monitor patients during sleep studies and respond to sleep-related events.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic sleep testing including PAP titration, split-night studies, MSLT and other sleep procedures.
  • Prepare, educate and support patients before, during and after testing.
  • Accurately score, document and maintain sleep study results and patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with AASM, regulatory, accreditation and organizational standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor by mentoring, training and supporting new staff members.

Hours:12 hr shifts

Join our Sleep Medicine team as a Sleep Technologist and help diagnose and treat sleep disorders through advanced polysomnography testing and patient-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive polysomnography (PSG) testing, analysis, scoring, and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of the Medical Director (MD, DO, or PhD).
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies and respond appropriately to sleep-related events.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic sleep testing, including PAP titration, split-night studies, MSLT, and other sleep procedures.
  • Prepare, educate, and support patients before, during, and after testing.
  • Accurately score, document, and maintain sleep study results and patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with AASM, regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor by mentoring, training, and supporting new staff members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Eighteen (18) months of experience working as a Sleep Technician required.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required.
