Job summary

Penn State Health – Hershey Medical Center in Hummelstown, PA, is seeking a Sleep Technician to perform polysomnographic testing, analysis, and interventions under supervision of the Medical Director. This full-time role is 0.90 FTE with a night shift schedule and a $2.50/hour night differential.

Responsibilities include scoring sleep studies and mentoring staff; the position requires BRPT RPSGT certification and at least 18 months of sleep tech experience, plus a high school diploma.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and associated interventions plus scoring under the general supervision of the Medical Director (MD, PhD, DO). Responsible for serving as a preceptor and mentor to staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 months of experience working as a Sleep Technician required
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required
