Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington seeks a Sleep Trainee to learn and perform basic sleep testing under supervision. You will work closely with a sleep technician or technologist to develop competency in recording and preparing data for analysis.

This role emphasizes patient safety, precise electrode placement, data quality, and adherence to sleep study protocols, with opportunities to advance toward RPSGT certification within 12 months and growth within a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus six months of direct patient care experience or one year of postsecondary education.
• BRPT/RPSGT certification within 12 months of hire.
• Strong computer knowledge.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and orient patients for sleep studies.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing.
• Apply electrodes and sensors per standards.
• Monitor signals and adjust to keep data artifact-free.
• Follow sleep study protocols (MSLT, MWT, PAP titration).
• Document observations and events for scoring.
• Assist with patient safety and interventions.
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally.
