Qualifications

• Two years of inpatient/outpatient sleep study experience preferred.
• Certified/Registered by ABB of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or BPS Technologists and NBRC.
• Indiana license/certification required; BLS certification required.
• Ability to operate sleep/ EEG equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrophysiological signals in sleep and EEG modalities.
• Perform patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing and scoring.
• Conduct testing across age ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
• Process charges and related paperwork timely and accurately.

Join the Woodlawn Team as a Sleep Tech (RPSGT) – Day Shift!

Woodlawn Health is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Sleep Technician to join our team. This role is a great opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and helping improve the health and well-being of others through sleep medicine.

SHIFT: Day Shift / 530a-3p / Full-Time / No Weekends / No Holidays

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred- Two years of experience in performing inpatient/outpatient sleep studies and EEG studies.
• Certified and/or Registered by the American Board of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or Board of Polysomnographic Technologies and National Board for Respiratory Care. Registered Polysomnographic Technician
• Education and training typically found and obtained in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory therapy programs preferred.
• Appropriately licensed/certified by the State of Indiana.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per hospital policy. Must obtain BLS prior to direct patient care.
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize activities.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
• Basic computer and keyboard skills with the ability to use sleep software.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Responsible for electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities in the inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. Some these tests include but are not limited to general diagnostic sleep studies, split-night sleep studies, evoked potential studies, and video monitoring.
• Performs screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring.
• Performs testing on 3-year-old patients through geriatric age.
• Processes charges and necessary paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.
