Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) / Sleep Technician to join our healthcare team. This in-person clinical role focuses on conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients, and ensuring accurate diagnostic data collection.

You will operate PSG, EEG, CPAP/BiPAP equipment, maintain patient records in EMR/EHR, and collaborate with physicians to support evaluation and treatment planning.

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist / Sleep Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) / Sleep Technician to join a healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality sleep medicine services.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive sleep studies, operate advanced polysomnography equipment, monitor patients throughout testing, and ensure accurate collection and documentation of diagnostic data. Your expertise will support the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-wake disorders and contribute directly to improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, performing physical examinations, and ensuring patient comfort throughout testing.
• Operate and monitor polysomnography (PSG) equipment, including EEG, respiratory monitoring equipment, and other diagnostic tools.
• Accurately record sleep patterns, physiological activity, vital signs, and other relevant patient data.
• Perform manual sleep study scoring and analyze collected data to identify abnormalities associated with sleep-wake disorders.
• Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, including CPAP and BiPAP machines.
• Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and respond appropriately to changes or technical issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records, test results, and treatment-related documentation using EHR/EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support evaluation of diagnostic results and treatment planning.
• Provide professional, compassionate patient care while addressing questions and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Ensure sleep testing equipment is properly functioning, maintained, and prepared for patient use.

Qualifications

• RPSGT certification or equivalent credential required.
• Demonstrated experience conducting polysomnography/sleep studies.
• Strong knowledge of sleep medicine, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and sleep-wake disorders.
• Experience operating PSG, EEG, CPAP, BiPAP, and related medical equipment.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and accurately assess vital signs in a clinical environment.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to monitor patients carefully and maintain a high standard of safety and comfort.
• Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes and the use of EEG and other physiological monitoring techniques in sleep testing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment.
