Vituity in Dublin, OH seeks a Billing and Coding Specialist to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS codes for sleep medicine services, including polysomnography, HST, MSLT, and MWT. You will handle front-end and back-end billing, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and pursue denials or underpayments.

The role requires knowledge of coding standards, revenue cycle practices, and HIPAA confidentiality, with at least 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing and/or medical coding experience.
• Experience coding and billing for sleep medicine or pulmonary services preferred.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for sleep medicine services.
• Query providers when documentation does not support code assignments.
• Apply CMS NCCI edits and LCD/NCD policies for compliant coding.
• Maintain knowledge of annual code-set updates and guidelines.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
