Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Sleep Lab technician at the Main Campus to conduct sleep studies and provide technical scoring of sleep events per AASM standards. You will also deliver patient and family education and support quality assurance initiatives.

The role involves performing comprehensive sleep testing, calibrating equipment, and participating in ongoing process improvements, with third‑shift coverage and a sign‑on bonus option.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment to identify specific needs and determine appropriate sleep testing protocols.
• Conduct polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/MWT, and apply and titrate oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators as required.
• Manage airway procedures, trach capping, blood gas sampling and analysis, and deliver patient/family education.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment, and implement new test modalities.
• Oversee supply inventory and assist with mentoring and supervising new sleep technicians.
• Provide quality assurance feedback and participate in continual process improvement.
• Offer coverage as needed, including third‑shift (6:30p.m.–7:00a.m., Monday‑Friday, 3‑12 hour shifts with some weekends).
