Job summary

Dayton Children’s Sleep Lab is hiring a full-time Sleep Technician to conduct and score sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, and MSLT/MWT, and to apply oxygen and CPAP/BiPAP therapies.

The role involves calibrating equipment, scoring studies per AASM standards, mentoring new staff, and providing education to patients and families, with night shifts 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., seven nights a week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RPSGT certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and score sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/MWT.
• Apply and titrate oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP therapies and perform blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Assess patients to determine needs and provide education to patients and families.
• Mentor, orient, and supervise new sleep technicians; support training and new testing modalities.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment; score studies per AASM standards.
• Provide coverage, including night shifts (6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., seven nights a week).
