Job summary

Bronson Sleep Health Lab in Portage, MI is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for a 36-hour weekly night shift (7 PM–7 AM). The role involves independently performing and scoring sleep studies, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and clinical integrity, and supporting accreditation standards.

A strong emphasis on patient care and teamwork is required. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree in polysomnography or related field, direct patient care experience, and relevant credentials

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, or related allied health field required or strongly preferred.
• At least six (6) months of direct patient care experience.
• Successful completion in an program accredited by CAAHEP or CoARC.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify needs and determine testing parameters with the physician.
• Verify medical orders and established testing protocols.
• Prepare patients for sleep studies and explain procedures.
• Apply equipment, calibrate, and ensure signal integrity.
• Independently score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per AASM standards.
• Score events such as respiratory, cardiac, limb movements, and arousals.
• Generate accurate reports and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Provide supervision or mentoring to staff and trainees when applicable.
