Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program preferred.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross, card valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient arrival by setting up testing equipment and interviewing the patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder as noted.
• Scores, interprets and reports sleep study results; educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, and available resources.
• Prepares, calibrates, and maintains equipment; reports needed repairs and replacements.
