Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to perform and evaluate overnight sleep studies in the Sleep Lab. The role requires independent operation of polysomnographic equipment and accurate scoring of sleep/wake stages for various ages, under medical supervision.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, data acquisition, artifact recognition, and reporting, with emphasis on safety and collaboration with medical staff during night

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in polysomnography.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sleep studies and hook-up patients.
• Review physician orders and complete paperwork.
• Select montage on computer per policy.
• Conduct patient orientation and consent.
• Perform biocalibrations prior to 'Lights Out'.
• Record data (O2 saturation, heart rate, CPAP, etc.).
• Score sleep studies and generate reports for physicians.
• Follow split-night and CPAP titration protocols.
• Maintain and clean equipment; document procedures.
