Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a polysomnographic technologist to conduct independent sleep testing, analysis, and education, with clinical oversight of patients throughout the testing process.

The role requires extensive knowledge of sleep equipment and software to ensure quality outcomes and patient safety within our sleep disorders program. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of care.
• Performs and/or assists with patient care needs as directed.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living if needed.
• Collects, documents, and reports ongoing patient care data as directed.
• Interacts with patients and family, documenting observations and concerns.
• Acts as a patient advocate and a resource within the department.
• Assists in department inspections, surveys and audits, and in performance improvement activities.
