Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician - Trainee for the Sleep Disorder Center in Hazleton. This full-time night shift position trains in polysomnographic testing, data collection, and patient monitoring under supervision.

The trainee will calibrate equipment, perform testing, and assist in data scoring and reporting. A High School diploma with BLS and future RPSGT certification are required; EPIC system familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• RPSGT certification within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information and history.
• Prepare and calibrate sleep testing equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Operate polysomnography equipment and monitor patient during tests.
• Assist in scoring and reporting sleep data per protocols.
• Document observations in medical records accurately.
