Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Polysomnography Tech to support the Sleep Center under leadership supervision. The role involves polysomnography, diagnostic testing, and patient education to evaluate and treat sleep disorders.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating equipment, documenting results, and coordinating scheduling. Must hold a qualifying certification and have relevant experience; BLS preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders medicine preferred.
• Must have one of the following certifications (RPSGT, RST, SDS credential) as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and explain procedure; operate polysomnographic equipment to obtain diagnostic recordings; select testing modalities based on data.
• Document detailed technical reports; review studies with physicians and perform additional testing as needed.
• Administer neurodiagnostic procedures following protocols; monitor test quality; maintain clean work area.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, assist with billing, and perform general office tasks.
• Perform sleep staging and event scoring per AASM guidelines; troubleshoot equipment.
