Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Sleep Technologist to prepare patients, run polysomnography studies, and document results for physician interpretation.

The role requires high school diploma and 1+ year experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders; licensure or certification per state requirements is preferred. On-site position with opportunities for continuing education and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders medicine preferred.
  • Polysomnography licensure applicable depending on state (SC/VA notes in text).
  • RPSGT or RST or SDS credentials required depending on state.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the patient and operates polysomnographic equipment following protocols.
  • Documents detailed technical reports to aid physicians in interpretation.
  • Administers neurodiagnostic procedures with supervision as applicable and maintains clean work area.
  • Coordinates patient scheduling, collects payments, and reviews charges.
  • Maintains continuing education in neurodiagnostics.
  • Performs sleep staging and event scoring per AASM guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots polysomnographic and office equipment.
