Job summary

Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company plant in Tama, Iowa, is seeking a Slaughter Production Supervisor to oversee all production activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to industry standards within a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in packaging/food products, and strong data-driven decision skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Experience in packaging/food products preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all production activities ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members to improve effectiveness and teamwork.
• Promote safety and environmental programs in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure adherence to Quality, Sanitation, GMP, and HACCP standards.
• Manage staffing levels to meet planned schedules.
• Coordinate training of team members and assign responsibilities to meet production goals.
• Investigate delays and implement timely corrective actions.
