Job summary

Portland State University seeks a Slate Administrator to manage the Slate CRM within the OIT/CRDOC team. You will design, deploy, and support CRM solutions, administer Slate, and train campus users to ensure secure, accessible, and efficient system use.

The role emphasizes collaboration with University Marketing, Enrollment Management, Advising, Financial Aid, and other offices, with primary on-campus work and up to one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience administering or configuring a CRM system.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide occasional evening/weekend support.
• Preference for experience with Technolutions Slate and higher education IT.
• Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Slate CRM.
• Build and maintain system functionality (workflows, automations, reports).
• Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations.
• Ensure data integrity, system performance, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate system updates, enhancements, and testing.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and user support.
• Train users on system functionality and best practices.
