Job summary

VELUX Group is seeking an Assembly Operative in Greenwood, Indiana. You will perform repetitive assembly tasks for skylight components, including frame building and gasket assembly, to meet production standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience in a production setting. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, read blueprints, and work overtime as needed in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
• Experience reading and utilizing blueprints is preferred.
• Understanding of metric measurement systems is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
• Team-oriented with good safety, attendance and work history.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of the FCM unit including frame building, gasket assembly, pre-packing, packing machine operation, and off-loading of finished product.
• Performs work according to Job Instructions (J.I.’s) assigned to the position.
• Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met.
• Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5’s practices.
• Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision.
