VELUX Group in Wells, Maine, is seeking a CNC machine operator to produce machined skylight components. You will set up and run CNC equipment, read blueprints, verify dimensions, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role offers a Friday–Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm schedule with potential overtime and a pay range of $24.77–$28.28 per hour, including a $1 shift differential. Prior CNC experience and strong math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Functional and technical skills are required.
• Good math and computer skills are required.
• Control and instrumentation experience is required.
• Tooling experience is required.
• Ability to read and utilize blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Review work orders, blueprints and materials and run machine per specifications.
• Program by entering instructions and setting tools, offsets and references.
• Set up by installing jaws, tools, attachments and fixtures.
• Load stock and verify settings by measuring first runs and samples.
• Maintain safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
• Document actions and irregularities for shift hand-offs.
