Job Title/Department: Host / Sky House
Position Type: Seasonal - Part Time and Full Time Positions
Wage Range: $14 hourly plus tips
Supervisory: No Supervised by: Sky House FOH Manager
Work on top of the mountain! To provide the highest quality of service to guests in accordance with company policies and objectives, to strive toward guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability by performing the following duties. The host is the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge; therefore, how you represent the Sky House goes a long way in determining whether the guest will become a regular. Hosts/Busser are required to possess professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner.
Applicants should be 14 years or older.
Professionally and calmly maintain a steady, even flow of seating. Responsible for greeting all guests and responding appropriately to requests and special needs. Give guests an approximate wait time and offer them a beverage. Seat guests considering guest preferences, servers' workload, and seating capacity. Hand out menus and bring booster seats or highchairs for young guests. Inform servers of guest seating and relay any special requests. Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return. Assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant, including cleaning and resetting tables, helping servers with side work, and serving water and refills. Availability on weekends is required. Typical shift is 11am-4pm.
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift, with breaks as available. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, and fine manipulation. Work is inside and outside; all sensory skills are needed.
Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Responsibilities are guidelines and are not limited to listed items.
Exceptional customer service skills
