Job description

Position: Full-time Campground Host Team (required to live on-site full-time).

Term: Position will commence mid Mar-April and run until September/October.

Qualifications:

• Handyman/woman skills are an asset.
• Excellent customer service skills and experience required.
• Friendly, Energetic and physically fit.
• Laptop and or Ipad

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing Online Reservations and inquiries
• Greet Guest and assist in check-in and check-outs
• Ensure campground facilities are maintained to our highest Glamping standards Ensuring a safe, clean and sanitary environment.
• Cleaning and maintaining campsites, day use areas, and all public areas of the property.
• Basic landscaping duties including grass mowing, raking andtrimming of branches, etc.
• Maintain trails, grounds etc which includes raking and sweeping around
• Maintaining food waste bins and picking up litter around all areas of campground.
• Removal and clean up of garbage and food waste at to a designated on-site bin
• Removal of refundable recycling (beverage bottles and cans)
• Maintenance of washroom facilities which includes sweeping and cleaning, and minor repairs as required.
• Minor Maintenance (replace signs, hanging lights and painting, etc.).
• Revenue Collection (collecting camping fees for firewood etc,reports and sales cash-outs sheets). Follow proper cash handling and record keeping procedures.
• The sale of firewood or other camp merchandise.
• Ensure campground compliance and security by ensuring campground areas are patrolled and guests are abiding by the campground usage guidelines and enforcing quiet hours.
• Assist campground guests and visitors with basic questions and requests.
• Other related duties as required.

Skills and Abilities:

• General computer knowledge and the ability to use email efficiently. Ability to learn the basics of our online reservation system toretrieve information.
• Ability to keep organized and detailed records regarding campground usage and maintenance requirements.
• Strong public relations and guest service skills required. Must be able to be assertive while maintaining a friendly manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with managers, supervisors, co-workers and clients.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Resourceful and able to work independently in remote locations.
• Ability to defuse confrontational situations in an effective manner.
