Ascentria Care Alliance seeks a Skills Trainer to deliver 1:1 supports with emphasis on sensory sensitivities and to facilitate development through structured play in home and community settings.

The role includes teaching ADLs/IADLs, advocating for clients and families, and coordinating with other providers to implement treatment planning objectives while ensuring privacy and dignity.

Candidate should have a High School Diploma and driving access; background checks are required prior to starting.

Formación

• High School Diploma is required.
• At least 1 year experience in ABA field strongly preferred.
• BCBA or ABA certification highly preferred.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with concepts related to neurodiversity strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance is required to transport clients throughout the community.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver 1:1 supports with significant consideration to sensory sensitivities.
• Facilitate productive play activities to teach and reinforce skills development.
• Teaching and supporting individuals both in the home and in the community with ADLs and IADLs (e.g., transportation, technology use, money management, hygiene tasks, laundry).
• Serve as an advocate for individuals and families at various community levels.
• Support individuals and families to participate in social and recreational activities that encourage networking, formation of natural supports and peer support.
• Coordinate and work collaboratively with other service providers and family to implement treatment planning objectives.
