Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Behavioral Health Skills Trainer to support youth and families in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. You will help children aged 3–18 develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills, working with caregivers, schools and partners to coordinate services.

You will maintain a small caseload, provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support, and participate in trainings such as CPR/First Aid, NCI, and CPS problem solving as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma; minimum 1 year relevant experience (education may substitute).
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI trainings provided by agency.
  • Fingerprinting and background checks must be satisfactory.
  • Ability to work with youth 3–18 and collaborate with families and partners.

About your Role: The Behavioral Health Skills Trainer provides strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth between the ages 3–18, the Skills Trainer helps children and adolescents develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability, resilience, and success in home, school, and community settings. The Skills Trainer maintains a small caseload to ensure individualized support and works collaboratively with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services and promote positive outcomes for youth and families. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the youth and family.

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience- additional education may substitute for years of experience
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance

  • Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving – provided by an agency
