Job summary

ANDRITZ in Ruston, LA is seeking a Welder for the swing shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM). You will weld metal components per blueprints using oxy/acetylene and plasma cutting, set up equipment, and ensure high-quality welds while following QC standards and company safety policies.

This role requires at least three years of welding experience across MIG, flux-core, stick, and other processes, plus the ability to read prints and adjust parameters for different materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years welding experience including MIG, flux-core, stick, pulse arc, stitch pattern, and tack welding.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel in in-position and out-of-position work.
• Experience reading and interpreting prints.

Responsibilities

• Apply welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW).
• Weld components and equipment in position.
• Set up components and equipment to be welded.
• Maintain weld quality per QC standards and policies.
• Adjust amperage, current, and gas flow as needed for material.
• Demonstrate safe working practices and ANDRITZ rules.
