ANDRITZ INC is seeking a Welder for our WP Ruston, LA facility. The role involves welding metal components to blueprint specs, setting up welding operations, and preparing parts for fabrication.

You will adjust amperage and gas flow as needed while following QC standards and safety practices. Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of MIG, flux-core, stick, pulse arc, stitch pattern, and tack welding experience, plus the ability to read prints and work with carbon steel and stainless steel in

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of welding experience, including MIG, flux-core, stick, pulse arc, stitch pattern, and tack welding.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel in both in-position and out-of-position applications.
• Experience reading and interpreting prints.

Aufgaben

• Weld metal components and equipment according to blueprint specifications.
• Set up components and equipment to be welded.
• Prepare parts, drill holes, deburr parts, and use plate shear and ironworker.
• Adjust amperage, current, and gas flow according to the material being welded.
• Demonstrate safe working practices and standards and maintain QC.
