Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Welder certification may be required depending on job specifications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or schooling is preferred.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes.
• Working knowledge of welding, structural brake forming and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Repair machinery by welding pieces and filling gaps as needed.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws.
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.
• Supervise machines or robots performing automated welding tasks.
