Job summary

Multi-Craft Contractors, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to join our fabrication team. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting welding methods, and setting up parts for welding across multiple positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Certification may be required.
• 4 years experience is required.
• Knowledge of welding, structural brake forming and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW) and SMAW.
• Current valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts.
• Align components using calipers and clamps.
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Repair machinery by welding and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
• Supervise machines or robots performing automated welding.
