Job summary

The IFH Group, Inc. in Rock Falls, IL is hiring a Welder II for our on-site fabrication team. This full-time position focuses on MIG and TIG welding of tanks, following blueprints and engineering drawings to meet exacting standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of machine/metal fabrication experience with MIG or TIG welding. Reliable team member with strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or certificate in welding preferred.
• Two (2) years’ experience in machine/metal fabrication and MIG and/or TIG welding required.

Responsibilities

• Performs intermediate welding and fabrication for tank construction with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Reads blueprints and schematics to perform MIG/TIG welds and fixtures.
• Measures and welds to specifications; inspects bead size and welds for quality.
• Records time in ERP/MRP system and operates overhead hoist and rigging to lift tanks.
• Maintains safety equipment and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
