Job summary

Morton Industries, LLC is seeking a reliable welder/fabricator to assemble metal parts in Dunlap, TN. This role requires interpreting prints, welding with MIG and arc processes, and ensuring accurate dimensions and quality before shipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Trade school, college, weld experience, or a combination may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain production schedule, expedite list and/or work orders.
• Weld metal parts using MIG and various arc welding processes per prints.
• Study prints to determine assembly requirements and sequence.
• Check dimensions with layout or inspection equipment for print conformance.
• Lay out reference lines and machining locations as per print.
• Operate various power tools.
• Use Bluco or layout table for fixture or small lot assembly.
• Manipulate parts to achieve correct dimensions by heating, clamping, or restraining.
• Complete assemblies by welding, gas brazing or other methods.
• Process completed orders for shipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
